Brighton - British Racecourse

A wonderful Seaside racecourse.

About Brighton

There are references to races taking place before 1713, but the first official race meeting at Brighton was held in 1783. The track stages flat races of up to about one and a half miles. It is a Right-handed oval track of one mile three furlongs. The five furlongs course is uphill and is a very stiff test, especially for 2yo. High numbers are best in races up to one mile. Children under 18 are admitted free.

Course Details: Left-handed, 1 1/2m U-shape, markedly undulating and sharp. Suits handy types.
