Pontefract - British Racecourse

This racecourse has the longest continuous circuit in Europe at 2m and 125yds.

About Pontefract Racecourse:

Pontefract offers a range of afternoon and evening Flat fixtures throughout the summer. The course is also known for its warm, welcoming atmosphere and is great value for money. Being a stiff, undulating two-mile track, the emphasis is firmly placed on stamina in the staying races but front runners are ideally suited to this track in sprints where an inside, low draw is important. Accompanied under 18s are admitted free of charge into every enclosure at every race meeting.

Course Details:

Left-handed, undulating 2m circuit, with straight of just over 2f. Last 6f is essentially uphill.
