Ludlow - British Racecourse

Quaint Edwardian Jumps racecourse in beautiful Shropshire.

About Ludlow Racecourse:

Two miles north of Ludlow itself, this quaint jumps course can be found off the A49. It is right-handed, undulating and about a mile and a half round. Racing is well-established with records back to 1729, though jumping did not take place until the mid 19th Century. The course retains its Edwardian character and a Club atmosphere. Ludlow racecourse is located in the picturesque South Shropshire countryside with a golf course in the centre. Their Jump fixtures are mainly mid-week and top trainers are often well represented here. Ludlow offers an enjoyable and informal day's racing in a friendly club atmosphere. All children under 18 years of age accompanied by an adult may enter free of charge.
