Sandown Park - British Racecourse
A fantastic theatre of racing on London’s doorstep.
About Sandown Park Racecourse:
Sandown Park was the first purpose built racecourse with enclosures, designed to be a leisure destination.
Sandown Park was the Queen Mother's favourite course and provided a suitably impressive backdrop to the feats of Arkle, Mill Reef and Desert Orchid. Yet it has always developed in sympathy with the spirit of the times and is now one of the most modern and accessible racing venues in the country. Entry to Sandown Park is free for children aged under 18, except on music evenings.
Flat- Right-handed oval of 1m5f with 4f uphill run-in. Essentially galloping. Separate diagonal 5f also uphill.
National Hunt- Right-handed with stiff uphill finish. Chase course tricky, especially for novices. Hurdles run on flat course. A Circuit of 1m 5f.
Getting there, directions and parking:

There are allocated disabled parking spaces in the main Portsmouth Road car park, which is free of charge to all blue badge holders. The parking is very close to the main entrance and the grandstand.
