Iva Reflection - Race Horse

- Trained by Tom Dascombe - Horse Racing Trainer

Introducing the latest recruit to our flat team, IVA REFLECTION, a 2yo colt by Ivawood ex Mirror Image. This exciting colt is in training with Tom Dascombe who trains in Cheshire close to his favourite racecourses of Chester and Haydock. He made an exciting winning racecourse debut at Doncaster and then went on to come 2nd in the Lily Agnes at Chester before taking the Club to Royal Ascot in the Windsor Castle Stakes. We are very excited to have another horse at the incredible Manor House Stables this season.

IVA REFLECTION'S RACE REVIEWS

Stuart Redding's review of Iva Reflection's run at York 13.07.19

While the result wasn’t what we hoped for, this was definitely a big step back in the right direction. Iva Reflection was always up with the pace and still had every chance approaching the final furlong, but his big weight told in the dying strides and he had to settle for fifth. We know he is effective with give underfoot so maybe it’s time to start doing a rain dance!

Stuart Redding's review of Iva Reflection's run at Haydock 06.07.19

This is probably a race to forget as Iva Reflection got isolated on the far side and never threatened, trailing home a distant eighth. Assuming nothing comes to light in the next few days, it’s probably worth getting him back on track soon so that he can prove this wasn’t his true running.

IVA REFLECTION AT ROYAL ASCOT: Iva ran his heart out in pretty tough conditions on Wednesday finishing a tired 17th of 21 but Tom Dascombe had made it very clear in his interview last week and in the paddock before the race that if we were on the wrong side of the draw we had no chance – and so it proved with all the sprint winners coming from high draws on Wednesday. But to be honest our jockey Richard Kingscote and trainer Tom Dascombe called it correctly after the race when stating that had we been drawn high we would most definitely been nearer first than last but that was as good as we could have hoped for! We will put a line through the form and look forward to many more exciting days racing this summer. What we can take from yesterday was the unbelievable honour and excitement that having a runner at Royal Ascot brings! So much fun, even in the early afternoon pouring rain, it was a very memorable afternoon and I hope everyone felt the same. More of this racing PLEASE! Stuart Redding's review of Iva Reflection's run in the Lily Agnes at Chester 08.05.19

What a cracking effort and a great day out for everyone – despite the weather! Our youngster broke well from the gates and shadowed all-the-way winner Great Dame from start to finish. Just like on his debut, he showed plenty of pace and a willing attitude to earn this close second. Those attributes will help him find more races in the future, especially as a step up to 6f should bring further improvement.

Stuart Redding's review of Iva Reflection's racecourse debut at Doncaster 27.04.19

It feels great to get back to winning ways and in great style too! Jane Elliott got our youngster into a prominent position early and he would not be denied, holding off Taxiwala by a neck. Obviously it’s hard to be confident about the strength of the form with none of these having any previous experience, but the market leaders finished second and third so that’s positive, and our boy’s willing attitude means he should be a threat wherever we choose to go next. Exciting times!
